KATE WINSLET has opened up about her steamy sex scene with Idris Elba for their new film The Mountain Between Us, revealing he made a very odd request.

The actress was speaking on The Graham Norton Show when she revealed how she stripped completely naked for the romp but was surprised when her co-star asked her to keep one particular item of clothing on.
The blonde beauty revealed that he requested she wear socks for the racy scenes, claiming he has a foot fetish.

Kate told chat show host Graham about Idris' unusual tastes as she explained that director Hany Abu-Assad had never shot a love scene before.
"I had to get quite bossy," she explained. "I've done quite a lot of these scenes before and poor Hany was really quite nervous and had an extensive shot list and I thought, 'We are never going to get this done.'
