JAMES BOND star Daniel Craig has one more 007 movie to go and Luke Evans has spoken out on the idea of taking over from him.
Soon to succeed Sir Roger Moore, Craig will be the longest serving James Bond once his fifth and final outing is released in November 2019.
Even before the announcement there was much speculation over which actor will replace him as 007.
Now Luke Evans, who is at 25/1 to be the next Bond, has spoken on the possibility.
Speaking with Screen Rant, he said: “I think it would be an honour, but it’s a big job stepping into the boots of someone like Daniel Craig who was brought on [and] elevated him to a level which has never been.”
Evans continued: “It’s an extraordinary franchise and incredible role but whoever takes on the role after Daniel Craig has got a job on his hands.
“So yeah, it’s attractive, but it also doesn’t come without its trepidation – it wouldn’t be an easy thing to do.

“You know what I mean, though? It takes so much, you know? You’ve got to create your fanbase, all that stuff’s goes on before filming. Yeah. Who knows?
“It wouldn’t be an easy thing to take over that role, although it is a fantastic character.”
